Updates on COVID-19

Thursday, May 14, 2020

Maryville Living Center continues to make resident and staff safety our top priority during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Visitor restrictions remain in place at this time and staff will notify each resident emergency contact when this is lifted. We still cannot allow items of any kind to be dropped off at facility for residents or staff, including flower deliveries. You can send your loved ones mail but please know we do hold it for 48 hours prior to delivering to any resident.

Our residents are not leaving the facility unless they are going to a medically necessary appointment in which a facility staff member transports them and they are provided mask to wear while out. Upon their return, they are settled into a private room for 14 days as a precaution and to monitor closely for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.  They are able to leave their rooms only to shower or monitor weight if medically necessary and will wear a mask while out of their room.

Vital signs as well as signs and symptoms are monitored for each resident every shift and recorded. We continue to practice social distancing with meals, activities and resident’s interaction between each other. Staff continue to be monitored for temperature and signs and symptoms each time they enter the building and are required to wear mask at all times while in the building.

If there is a time that we would have a suspected case or positive case of COVID 19, the facility staff will be in contact with resident emergency contacts.

We are missing our families greatly and hope you are all doing well!  Please reach out to visit your loved ones via phone, video chat or e-mail... we hope to see you soon!
